Marketing Project with Northumbria Uni

Throughout the previous academic year, Curo was chosen as a company/project for a team of final year students at Northumbria University Business School.

Our team's consultancy company was named Innovinc, and was made up of a small team of three, Daniel Koulouris, Jaques Testo and Jack Fitt. The project looked at a variety of aspects for Curo and in particular some of the challenges faced for a niche startup business.

The University and the team remained in regular contact throughout the project, with a couple of visits to the campus, and also two to three visits from the students to our offices. Good communication was vital so that the project and goals were all aligned between ourselves and the team.

Research was carried out for us on the general knowledge people have of modular wiring in general, proving a very low % of people have even heard of it, never mind understand its benefits. Alongside this, statistical analysis of the construction industry and a focus in electrical installation followed, displaying useful charts and figures for us to use as future content. In addition the team also advised us on our website landing page, the importance of SEO and Google AdWords, all of which we took on board and made subtle changes for the better.

It's a win-win situation for businesses as the efforts go toward the student's final year grade and in part replace often long winded dissertations. We thank the team and the Uni and would recommend you give it a go if you get the opportunity.
